Professional, not corporate. This mantra guided our workplace design for this family-run real estate office.

Designed for a family-run business that focuses on real estate, the Well Grounded workplace was imagined as a space without the typical tropes associated with a corporate office. ACDO developed the layout with an open center-courtyard, with boardrooms and private offices at the perimeter, to encourage open and private spaces.

Custom white-washed oak millwork juxtaposes with exposed concrete to recreate a warm industrial environment. Traditional radiators by the windows are recladded throughout the office to frame the views towards the city.

The space includes an adaptable lighting program that responds to Toronto’s four seasons and the various lighting requirements.
